More Thanks from Second Grade Teacher and Her Class

Good morning, Friends of Venice Library!

I am one of the 2nd grade teachers who was blessed with bird books from Janet Knudsen and The Friends for our students.  (Friends of Venice Library Board President Janet Knudsen organized these events with the Aububon Society.)

We are so grateful for them. How easy for the kids to find what they are looking for! Also, the information included answered the questions they typically have. The books are a super source for a research project and report!

I sent an envelope to you and included thank- you notes from the students in my class. Unfortunately, I forgot to include an explanation of their cards. At the Rookery, each child had his/her wingspan measured and compared to a bird of like size. They loved that activity, so we decided to use that idea for our thank-you cards. All the little people with outstretched arms are showing you their wingspans with pride! 😄

Thank you again for your extremely generous gift! The kiddos will remember this for a long, long time!
